What this module covers

Capabilities that match the real workflow

Capability

Import CSV, TXT and Excel bank statements, with English and Arabic column headers, common date and amount formats, and duplicate rows recognised automatically.

Capability

Load the book side straight from the bank's general ledger account across every branch, so nothing is keyed in twice.

Capability

Match on reference, amount and date with a confidence score: high-confidence pairs are matched for you, and the rest wait as suggestions to confirm or reject.

Capability

Match one bank line to several ledger entries, or only part of a line, and record the reason for any difference, such as a bank charge, interest or an exchange difference.

Capability

Turn bank charges and interest into journal adjustments that a second person approves before they post to the ledger and match automatically.

Capability

Optionally ask an AI model to suggest matches for the lines that are left. It can run on your own server, and a person always confirms what it suggests.

How teams use it

A practical flow from setup to daily execution

01

Step 1

Create a reconciliation for a bank account and period, then import the bank statement.

02

Step 2

Run matching, confirm or reject the suggestions, and match the remaining lines by hand in the side-by-side workspace.

03

Step 3

Propose adjustments for bank charges or interest, have them approved and posted, and export the Bank Reconciliation Statement for sign-off.

Frequently asked

Common questions about Bank Reconciliation

Which bank statement formats can I import?

CSV, TXT and Excel files. Columns are recognised from common English and Arabic headers, and a mapping can be saved as a profile for each bank so the next import takes one step.

Does matching change my accounting entries?

No. Matching only links bank lines to ledger entries. Only an approved adjustment posts a new journal entry, and it passes the same posting checks as any other entry.

Do I need AI to use it?

No. The matching engine works on its own. AI suggestions are optional, can run on your own server, and are always confirmed by a person.

Can the reconciliation be shared with auditors?

Yes. The Bank Reconciliation Statement shows deposits in transit, outstanding payments, bank items not yet recorded and the adjusted balances under your company letterhead, and exports to PDF, print and Excel.
